Celtic supporters are in high spirits after the club secured a record transfer for Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh, with some fans already drawing comparisons to Erling Haaland.

Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: “I approached Celtic Park with an extra spring in my step in the knowledge that we have finally delivered a marquee signing in Hogh. He’s nailed on to becoming the Premiership equivalent of Erling Haaland and I’m hopeful Martin O’Neill reverts to a 4-4-2 formation with the already impressive Duran and Hogh spearheading the forward line in a throwback to O'Neill's Sutton and Larsson days.”
David Beattie, Rothesay, said: “Finally Celtic make the statement striker signing the fans have been crying out for years. Hogh is up there with Pierre van Hooijdonk, Jorge Cadete and Henrik Larsson as this Bhoy is the business. Let this be the start of serious players coming to our club to take us back to being competitive again in Europe.”
Rangers Fans Weigh In
But Alan Flett, via email, said: “Why is Hogh going from a club who play in the CL every year, to a club who don't? Seems to me he is taking a step down the ladder. If he's the real deal, why didn't he wait for a big club to come in for him?”
Donald Dundas, Uddingston, said: “As a Rangers fan I have to display an amount of sympathy in the direction of Messiah Martin. The alleged fans who apparently love him, want him to decry the people in charge. That's like the owner of the jewellers stating all their stock was total crap. The chain closed down very soon after. From a selfish point of view let's hope the disarray continues.”
Peter Melville, Glasgow, said: “I've been reading with amazement the constant calls from Celtic supporters complaining about how incompetent the Celtic board is. In the last 15 years Celtic have won 14 championships, nine Scottish cups, and eight League cups. Personally I reckon that's not too bad. Maybe I'm just easily pleased.”

Rohl's Claims Under Fire
Former Rangers boss Danny Rohl’s exclusive interview in Record Sport has caused a stir. Robert Livingston, Palm Beach, said: “Rohl telling us he'd win the league if he stayed. This is from a man who lost four of the final five games. Rohl’s talking nonsense.
