Michael Carrick will address the media ahead of Manchester United's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, with the head coach under pressure after a difficult start to the season.
The draw at Fulham three weeks ago was another underwhelming result, and Carrick needs to begin picking up consistent wins quickly. Spurs, who have yet to win in the league and sit bottom of the table, offer a chance to get back on track, with nothing less than a win considered a good result against Roberto De Zerbi's side.
Injury concerns for key players
United have several injury problems heading into the game, and Carrick is expected to provide updates on his squad. Benjamin Sesko is the major doubt after pulling out of the Slovenia squad last month, while Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford also face question marks over their fitness.
Carrick is also likely to be asked about the verdict in the 115 Manchester City charges case.
Pressure mounts after recent results
The international break came at a good time for Carrick after a string of disappointing results, including a defeat in the Manchester derby and a Carabao Cup loss to Brighton despite leading by two goals. The 1-1 draw against Fulham offered little reassurance before the pause.
There was speculation about Carrick's future after the Brighton match, with players disappearing down the tunnel to chants of "what the f****** hell was that?", the closest the Stretford End has come to mutiny.
Press conference timing
Carrick is expected to speak to the media at around 1.30pm UK time, and updates on the fitness of Sesko, Mainoo and Rashford will be provided during the session.
