Michael Carrick has dismissed any doubts over Lisandro Martinez's commitment and said he is not contemplating his future as Manchester United manager, despite ongoing pressure on his position.
Speaking ahead of a pivotal Champions League match against Roma at Old Trafford, Carrick was asked about the defender's attitude. He said: "I've got no concerns about commitment at all. Things happen in football, sometimes you make mistakes, sometimes it goes well for you, but commitment is not an issue, for sure."
No Thought Given to Future
When questioned about whether he has been thinking about his own future at the club, Carrick replied: "No, not at all (feels like a coach with two games left)."
He added: "You never know what is going to happen in the future, but that doesn't change the way I feel. I can't wait for the game tomorrow. You might think I'm crazy with the results we've had, but I can't wait for it."
Champions League Showdown
United face Roma in what is described as a must-win Champions League encounter. Further updates on this developing story are expected as more information becomes available.
