Callum Wilson is in talks to leave West Ham United just five months after joining the club, with the striker reportedly unhappy under manager Nuno Espírito Santo. The 32-year-old, who signed a one-year incentivised deal, is seeking a new challenge amid growing discontent within the squad over Nuno's tactics and man-management.
West Ham sit 18th in the Premier League, four points adrift of safety, ahead of a crucial home match against Nottingham Forest. Nuno, who has won only two of his 15 games in charge, is under pressure after a humiliating defeat at Wolves. However, the club is not expected to sack him even if they lose to Forest.
Wilson has scored four goals in 18 appearances but has been used sparingly, causing frustration among club figures who believe the team performs better with him on the pitch. His substitution in the 63rd minute against Brighton last week left West Ham without a recognised forward, drawing criticism.
The club has signed two forwards chosen by Nuno: Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for a combined £47m. Both could feature against Forest. Meanwhile, winger Luis Guilherme has left permanently for Sporting.
It remains unclear whether Wilson will leave as a free agent or if West Ham will seek a fee, with a potential departure expected towards the end of the transfer window. Morale at the club is low, with multiple sources indicating Nuno has failed to win over many players.
