Armando Broja scored a last-minute equaliser to end Burnley's seven-game losing run and leave Bournemouth winless in eight. The substitute's header in the 90th minute cancelled out Antoine Semenyo's 67th-minute strike, earning returning manager Scott Parker a point his team scarcely deserved.
Parker, back at the Vitality Stadium for the first time since being sacked by Bournemouth in August 2022, made six changes due to illness. Veteran Kyle Walker was among those recalled to the starting XI after suspension. Bournemouth dominated the first half, creating several chances through David Brooks, Justin Kluivert, and Semenyo, but Burnley held firm with just 28% possession.
The pattern continued after the break until Semenyo curled a brilliant shot into the far corner. However, Burnley equalised in stoppage time when Marcus Edwards crossed for Broja to head home. "It's frustrating because it's a game that we were not feeling the pressure from them," said Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, whose side managed one shot on target from 17 efforts. "We've had chances to kill it, we didn't kill it."
Parker praised the resilience of his side: "The most important thing was the result, let's not beat about the bush. Today wasn't about the performance."
