Jude Bellingham, his girlfriend Ashlyn Castro and mother Denise enjoyed a day out at the Madrid Open on Wednesday. The Real Madrid star, 22, appeared in high spirits while taking in a match between Austria's Sinja Kraus and Czech Republic's Karolina Pliskova.

Spotted wearing an Adidas flat cap and collared white shirt, Bellingham sat alongside Castro, 27, who has over 240,000 followers on Instagram. Castro, an American model, has been dating the English football star since last summer and they have been pictured together on numerous occasions.

She was wearing a black leather jacket over a white dress in the crowd at the Madrid Open and pictured sharing a laugh with Bellingham between points. Denise was in the row behind in a hat and smart jacket for the afternoon's play.

Real Madrid are in action against Real Betis on Friday evening at the Bernabeu and evidently manager Alvaro Arbeloa afforded his players some time off. Castro is on familiar terms with Bellingham's parents and chatted to mum Denise and dad Mark, who are no longer in a relationship, in the family box at the Bernabeu during Madrid's 5-1 win over Red Bull Salzburg in January.

Castro appears to live a varied and artistic life based off her exploits on Instagram. The model is from Los Angeles and has shared photographs from art galleries, skyscraper bars, mountain landscapes, and the gym among a spate of selfies. She was previously romantically linked with Hollywood actor Michael B Jordan and NBA stars LaMelo Ball and Terance Mann.

Bellingham hit the headlines this week after buying a one per cent stake in cricket franchise Birmingham Phoenix. The deal, originally reported by The Cricketer, is understood to be around £800,000, with the 22-year-old purchasing a half per cent of Warwickshire’s 51 per cent stake and half a per cent of that owned by American group Knighthead Investment Management, who last year paid £40million for 49 per cent.

Bellingham was a keen cricketer as a youngster and when asked in an interview this year which player from another sport he would like to swap places with for a day, went for England captain Ben Stokes. Bellingham used to play at Hagley Cricket Club in Worcestershire and despite being only 11 years old, stood out among his peers.

In terms of the day job, the midfielder has endured a difficult campaign and missed chunks of the season through injury. Real Madrid are on course to end the season without a trophy, with rivals Barcelona running away with LaLiga. Bellingham and Co were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich and have very little left to play for this season.

It won't be long before Bellingham turns his attention to the World Cup, where he is expected to be one of Thomas Tuchel's key men in the US this summer. Tuchel brought Bellingham back into the fold for recent friendlies having controversially left him out last year.
