Beau Greaves First Woman to Hit Nine-Darter on PDC ProTour

In a landmark moment for professional darts, Beau Greaves has etched her name into the history books by becoming the first woman ever to record a nine-dart finish on the prestigious PDC ProTour.

A Perfect Leg in Leicester

The historic feat occurred during her Players Championship 6 match against seasoned competitor Mensur Suljovic in Leicester. The 22-year-old from Doncaster executed darting perfection, hitting consecutive maximum 180 scores before clinically checking out on 141 with a double 12.

The moment left Greaves visibly overwhelmed, with opponent Suljovic immediately offering a congratulatory handshake in recognition of the extraordinary achievement. Remarkably, she managed to regain her composure to secure a tense 6-5 victory in the last 32, clinching the match in a final-leg decider.

Greaves' Reaction to Making History

"I couldn't believe I'd hit it!" Greaves exclaimed afterwards. "I just about hit the treble 19 and then I was quite confident that the double 12 was going in. I couldn't stop smiling because I couldn't wait to tell my dad, even though I knew he'd be watching."

She added: "I've narrowly missed hitting one a few times so it was nice to finally hit one. It's nice to be the first woman to hit one on the PDC ProTour, I'm glad it was on the stream as well."

The young star admitted the aftermath was challenging, stating: "It was hard to get back into the game after I'd hit it, I was shaking afterwards. It was nerve-wracking but I managed to get the win in the end."

Establishing Herself Among the Elite

Greaves has emerged as the flagbearer for women's darts in recent seasons, demonstrating near-invincibility on the women's tour while also making significant inroads against top male competitors. Her impressive resume includes a victory over teenage sensation Luke Littler en route to the World Youth Championship final.

Reflecting on her ProTour campaign, Greaves noted: "I'm enjoying my start to life on the PDC ProTour. I've been struggling in patches with a bit of tension in my throw, but I'm playing well and enjoying it. You're playing the best players in the world so if you lose a game, it's just a case of your opponent playing better than you on the day."

Despite her historic nine-darter, Greaves' tournament run ended in the third round with a loss to David Sharp.

Price Claims Tournament Victory

The Leicester event concluded with Welsh star Gerwyn Price securing a dominant 8-1 victory over Andrew Gilding in the final. The Iceman averaged 98.68 and landed two ton-plus checkouts in a commanding performance to claim his first Players Championship title of the season.

Price navigated past notable opponents including Jonny Clayton and Kevin Doets on his path to the final. The tournament was notable for the absence of several top names, including world champion Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Luke Littler.

Greaves' groundbreaking achievement represents a significant milestone for gender equality in professional darts, showcasing that perfection knows no boundaries in the sport.
