The first Clasico of the 2026/27 La Liga season takes place tonight as Real Madrid visit Barcelona. Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid sit third after nine matches, six points adrift of leaders Barcelona, a gap they could halve with a win.
Title race implications
Barcelona have made a strong start under Hansi Flick, with their only defeat in all competitions coming last time out against European champions Paris Saint-Germain. Their league record remains perfect, with nine victories and 39 goals scored.
Real Madrid have two losses this season, both away from home, and face their toughest road test yet. They will be without star winger Vinicius Jr, who remains suspended after being sent off two weekends ago.
