Arsenal are reportedly preparing a £34 million bid for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, according to The Athletic. The 24-year-old Greek international has impressed with 43 goals over two seasons at Brugge, following a 23-goal campaign at Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German second division.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their attacking options, with Mikel Arteta keen to add quality on the left flank. Tzolis has indicated he would be open to joining a Champions League club, stating: 'It will have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy.'
Arsenal have also been linked with Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Paris Saint-Germain's Bradley Barcola, though either would command fees approaching £80 million. A move for Tzolis would not affect any potential deal for Rogers, who is currently away with the England squad.
The club spent approximately £250 million last summer on Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, but Arteta is determined to continue strengthening. Arsenal also reportedly approached Juventus for Kenan Yildiz, but were told the Turkish international is not for sale.
Following their Champions League final defeat to PSG, Arteta urged the board to show ambition, saying: 'We are going to have to make some very important decisions if we want to reach another level. We are more than capable of doing it, but it is going to demand us to be very ambitious, very fast and very smart.'
