The 27-year-old pulled up with an apparent groin problem off the ball in the 60th minute at the Emirates Stadium and required treatment from Brazil's medical team before hobbling off.
Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his disappointment, stating: 'He had an injury in his adductor. The medical staff has to check tomorrow. We are really sorry for this, really disappointed.' Gabriel was seen leaving the ground with a limp after the match, fuelling fears over his availability for the crucial Premier League clash.
The centre-back has been instrumental for Mikel Arteta this season, forming part of a defence that has conceded just five league goals and helped Arsenal top the table. His absence would be a significant blow ahead of a fixtures against Tottenham and a Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich three days later.
