Arsenal have completed a surprise deadline day signing, snapping up 18-year-old defender Jaden Dixon from Stoke City. The Gunners have paid an initial £3.2 million for the teenager, with potential add-ons, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Dixon, who started his career at Tottenham before moving to Stoke in 2023, made his professional debut last year. Despite limited first-team opportunities under manager Mark Robins, he has gained international experience, representing England at Under-19 level.
The defender has signed a four-year deal with the Premier League leaders and will initially join the Arsenal academy. He is expected to feature for the Under-21 side as he works towards the first team.
Dixon previously credited Stoke coach Ryan Shawcross for his development, saying: 'It's great working with Ryan, he's got amazing experience, and he can tell me how I need to improve from those experiences he has had.'
There was interest from other clubs, but Dixon opted to return to London and join Arsenal, who topped the Champions League group stage table.
