Reuben Owen supported after two-year relationship update

Reuben Owen, known for Channel 5's Life in the Dales, has received an outpouring of support from fans after sharing a relationship update with his girlfriend Jessica Ellwood. The couple, who met at a young farmers' convention, marked two years together on social media.

Two Years of Memories

Reuben took to social media to celebrate the milestone, writing: "2 Year together so many amazing memories. Love you so much @jessica.ellwood1." Fans flooded the comments with congratulations and warm wishes, with one writing: "Congratulations on your anniversary here's to many more years making memories together." Another added: "You cuties," while a third said: "Happy anniversary to you both."

Jess also shared her own update on Instagram, posting: "Celebrating two years together." Reuben commented: "Love you so much," as followers hailed the pair "gorgeous."

Life in the Dales

The couple star together in the Channel 5 series Life in the Dales, which follows Reuben after he rose to fame alongside his parents, Clive and Amanda Owen, and his siblings in Our Yorkshire Farm. Reuben now runs his own machinery business in Swaledale, North Yorkshire, joined by friends Sonny and Capper and brothers Miles and Sid. Jess frequently appears on the show alongside her family, who run Brough Castle farm.

Reflecting on their connection, Jess previously shared on Life in the Dales: "Ever since we first met, we just clicked. I think it's because I'm from a farming background, so's Reuben." She added: "I just love him to bits. Love his family, get on great with them."

Plans for the Future

Reuben told OK magazine about their early days: "It took me a while to ask her out, I wasn't that brave but I just asked her one night, we went out for some tea one night and I'd lost my wallet and she had to pay for my dinner!"

In a previous interview with The Mirror, he spoke about his family's reaction to Jess, saying: "Mum and Jess get on well, they talk about sheep together, they all approve and they all get along really well." Teasing their next step of moving in together, he added: "We're just waiting for something to come up. I've got to try and get a nice place, get a bit of a farm somewhere one day. It would be ideal to have a farm where I can park my diggers and she can have her sheep and cows."

When asked about starting a family, referencing his parents' large family, he quipped: "I don't think I fancy nine of them, I don't fancy nine at all. We'll have to wait and see." Life in the Dales is available to watch on 5.
