Arsenal are reportedly prepared to shatter their salary structure to secure Vinicius Jr this summer, according to the Mirror. The club are ready to go all out to capture the Real Madrid star by presenting him with a huge wage packet. The Brazilian has one year remaining on his contract, and Arsenal can provide a substantial remuneration package.
Green Light for Vinicius Jr
The Gunners possess the financial capability to satisfy the 26-year-old's staggering £500,000-per-week wage demands, which would make him comfortably the club's highest earner alongside Bukayo Saka. Such an agreement would stretch Arsenal's salary structure dramatically and influence future negotiations with other stars like Declan Rice, with whom the club continue extension discussions.
Arsenal's £103m Decision
Arsenal are understood to be willing to withdraw from the pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola. Fabrizio Romano reported on Sunday that Barcola will not sign a new contract with PSG and is considering a departure this summer. The French international has been on Arsenal's radar all summer as Mikel Arteta prioritised a left winger. However, Premier League rivals Liverpool are seen as front-runners for Barcola.
L'Equipe now suggests that Arsenal, whose interest is not as strong as Liverpool's, are prepared to abandon their pursuit. The primary reason is that Arsenal are only willing to spend up to €90 million (£77m) for his services, while the European champions demand €120m (£103m).
