Michelle Agyemang Earns First England Lionesses Call-Up for Euro 2025 Qualifiers
Agyemang earns first England call-up for Euro 2025

Arsenal's teenage sensation Michelle Agyemang has received her first senior call-up to the England women's national team as manager Sarina Wiegman names her squad for the upcoming Euro 2025 qualifiers.

The 18-year-old forward, who has been turning heads with her performances for Arsenal's academy, could make her international debut when the Lionesses face France in a double-header next month.

Rapid Rise Through the Ranks

Agyemang's inclusion comes after an impressive season where she scored 11 goals in 12 appearances for Arsenal's development squad. Her blistering pace and clinical finishing have drawn comparisons to Lionesses legend Ellen White.

"Michelle has shown tremendous potential and maturity beyond her years," Wiegman said. "She brings something different to our attacking options, and this is the perfect time to integrate her into the senior setup."

Euro 2025 Qualification Campaign

England currently sit second in their qualifying group after mixed results against Sweden and Ireland. The back-to-back matches against group leaders France on 31 May and 4 June could prove decisive in their quest to reach the tournament in Switzerland.

The squad also sees the return of Chelsea's Millie Bright from injury, while Manchester City's Jess Park earns a recall after strong club form.

Future of English Football

Agyemang's call-up continues England's policy of blooding young talent early. The striker follows in the footsteps of Lauren James and Alessia Russo, who both made their debuts as teenagers before becoming key players.

England's full 23-player squad will assemble at St George's Park next week to begin preparations for the crucial qualifiers.
