Two-weight world champions Natasha Jonas MBE and Savannah Marshall gave young female boxers in Liverpool a day to remember at Rotunda ABC in Kirkdale.
Stronger Together event
The free one-day event, titled Stronger Together, was hosted by Boxing is Love and Fight Like a Girl CIC. It put girls aged 11 to 18 at the centre of boxing and open conversation.
The day began with a 90-minute hands-on boxing session co-led by Liverpool's Jonas and Hartlepool's Marshall, two of Britain's most decorated female boxers.
Workshops and panel
After the session, attendees took part in a taster of Boxing is Love's flagship education programme, delivered by Dr Sarah Crews, a leading boxing academic and BiL advisory board member.
Fight Like a Girl ran a self-defence workshop, and the day closed with an informal panel on representation and the barriers girls face getting into the sport.
The event responds to a stubborn gap: Sport England has found girls aged 5 to 18 less active than boys for seven straight years, now worth 280 million lost activity hours a year.
