Jeamie TKV has withdrawn from his British heavyweight title fight against Frazer Clarke due to an injury sustained in training. The bout was scheduled for October 25 as part of Boxxer's new deal with the BBC, marking the start of a broadcast partnership on BBC Two.
The fight was expected to draw a significant audience, with a start time around 9pm to avoid clashing with Fabio Wardley's bout against Joseph Parker later that night. However, TKV's injury has derailed those plans, leaving Boxxer to decide on the future of the event.
Efforts are underway to find a suitable opponent for Clarke to keep the card intact and ensure the BBC deal proceeds as planned. If no replacement is found, the event will be postponed, with November 29 reportedly being considered as a potential new date, though this remains unconfirmed.
Clarke, 34, was aiming for a third attempt at the British heavyweight title after two unsuccessful fights against Fabio Wardley, including a first-round knockout loss. He returned in April with a stoppage win over Ebenezer Tetteh. TKV, meanwhile, suffered a controversial defeat to David Adeleye in April, where he was stopped in the sixth round after being dropped following a referee's break call.
