Australian boxing icon Jeff Fenech has launched a scathing attack on Tim Tszyu's team, labelling them as 'clowns' in the wake of Tszyu's surprising loss to Sebastian Fundora in their recent world title bout.
The former three-weight world champion didn't hold back in his criticism, suggesting that poor preparation and decision-making from Tszyu's corner contributed significantly to the defeat.
Fenech's Fiery Critique
'They had no plan B when things started going wrong,' Fenech declared. 'When you're dealing with a fighter like Fundora, you need to be prepared for anything. What I saw was amateur hour from people who should know better.'
The controversial comments come after Tszyu suffered his first professional defeat against the towering American, losing his WBO super welterweight title in the process.
The Fight That Changed Everything
Fundora, standing at an imposing 6'5", used his significant reach advantage to control the bout, leaving Tszyu struggling to find his rhythm. Despite a valiant effort from the Australian, the judges' scorecards ultimately favoured the American challenger.
'Tim is a great fighter, but he was let down by his team,' Fenech continued. 'They should have prepared him better for Fundora's style. Instead, they sent him in there like a lamb to the slaughter.'
