Mariusz Wach, 46, Knocks Out Three Opponents in 3-Minute MMA Freak Show
Ex-boxer Mariusz Wach KOs three in bizarre MMA bout

Former world heavyweight title contender Mariusz Wach has made a surreal return to combat sports, knocking out three men in just over three minutes during a bizarre mixed martial arts exhibition in Poland.

A Surreal Spectacle in the Cage

The 46-year-old Polish boxer, who stands at an imposing 6ft 7in, participated in a 'freak show' event organised by the controversial Prime Show MMA promotion. In footage that has since gone viral, Wach faced three opponents simultaneously: Dawid Baran, Mariusz Sobczak, and Tomasz Olejnik.

While Baran was an influencer making his fighting debut, Sobczak and Olejnik have some professional MMA experience. Olejnik holds a 1-4 record at welterweight, and Sobczak is 1-1 as a heavyweight. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Wach's size and power proved utterly dominant.

Three Minutes of Mayhem

The chaotic bout began with all three adversaries charging at Wach to apply early pressure. The veteran boxer weathered the initial storm and proceeded to drop each man within the first 30 seconds.

Mariusz Sobczak quit after being put on the canvas twice, leaving the two smaller men to continue. A clubbing right hand from Wach then finished Tomasz Olejnik before the end of the opening round.

Dawid Baran bravely answered the bell for the second round but was promptly dropped by a one-two combination, prompting his withdrawal and handing victory to Wach.

"Believe me, fighting one on three is completely different," Wach remarked after the fight. "You have to keep your eyes open. There was no bad blood on my part, so I had to concentrate hard."

A Career Past Its Peak

This strange encounter underscores how far Wach's serious fighting days are behind him. At his peak in November 2012, he challenged the legendary Wladimir Klitschko for the unified WBA, IBF, and WBO world heavyweight titles, suffering a comprehensive defeat. He later tested positive for a banned substance following that contest.

Since returning from a near-two-year suspension, Wach has faced a string of defeats against notable names including Dillian Whyte, Hughie Fury, and, most recently, teenager Moses Itauma, who stopped him inside two rounds in 2024.

His professional boxing record now stands at 39 wins and 12 defeats from 51 fights, with 10 of those losses coming in his last 16 outings. The one-sided exhibition in Poland appears to signal a move towards spectacle over sport for the ageing fighter, though his future plans remain unclear.
