Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn rematch confirmed for September 20

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will meet again on September 20, with the rematch officially announced by Ring Magazine. The bout forms part of the Riyadh Season event and will be promoted by Sela, Boxxer and Matchroom.

No venue has been confirmed yet, but Benn's promoter Eddie Hearn suggested Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or Wembley are possibilities. 'Spurs is contracted – it's a fantastic stadium and it worked extremely well the first time,' Hearn said. 'This fight's even bigger, so you could possibly look at Wembley to increase the capacity.'

The first fight in April saw Eubank Jr win on points after a gruelling contest. He later spent days in hospital due to weight-related concerns. Eubank Jr's promoter Ben Shalom called for a higher weight limit for the rematch, emphasising the need to prioritise the fighters' health.

Hearn believes the rematch will be even better than the first, describing the rivalry as a 'two-fight gig'. 'They're going to come out from the first bell and just carry on like the 13th round,' he said, expressing confidence in Benn's chances with more activity behind him.
