Eubank Jr vs Benn Rematch: Fighters Set for £18m Purse

Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr are set to earn substantial paydays for their rematch on Saturday, November 15, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The total purse for the bout is reported to be £18 million, a significant increase from the £15 million split for their first fight.

According to various reports, the prize fund will be split 60/40 in favour of Eubank Jr, meaning Benn is expected to pocket around £8 million. The first bout saw both fighters earn £7.5 million each, the largest payouts of their careers.

Benn seemingly leaked the fight purse in an interview with Boxing King Media earlier this year, stating: "He is getting paid an absolute fortune. People do that for ten grand, he is getting paid ten million." The first fight was marred by controversy after Eubank Jr failed to make weight by 0.05lbs and was fined £375,000, which Benn used to purchase a Rolls-Royce.

Benn has since taken a dig at his opponent's weight difficulties, referencing Eubank Jr's claim that a toenail fell off due to severe dehydration. Benn confirmed this will be his final bout at middleweight as he aims to drop back down to welterweight to pursue world title opportunities against the likes of Barrios, Garcia, and Romero.
