Conor Benn has mocked Chris Eubank Jr after the latter revealed details of his pre-fight sex ban ahead of their October 8 catchweight bout at the O2 Arena. The fight comes nearly 30 years after their fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, faced off in their iconic rematch.
During a Matchroom Boxing 'The Face Off' session, Eubank Jr told Benn that he usually abstains from sex for eight weeks to build testosterone, but would reduce that to two weeks for this opponent. A bemused Benn replied, 'How has it come to this? What are you talking about?' and later added, 'I don’t care, no one asked about your sex drive.'
Eubank Jr also joked that Jake Paul would get one week, placing Benn just above the YouTuber-turned-boxer. The pair have agreed to a catchweight of 157lbs with a rehydration clause, with reports of a $100,000 fine per pound over the limit.
Eubank Jr, who has two defeats, stated he would walk away from boxing if he loses to Benn, calling it a 'win-win' for his opponent. He aims to fight for a middleweight world title after this bout.
