Demi Vollering claimed victory on stage five of the Tour de France Femmes and moved into the overall lead, taking the yellow jersey from Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.
Stage Decisive in the Mountains
The stage, which finished atop a demanding climb, saw Vollering attack in the final kilometres. She crossed the line alone, gaining time on her rivals.
Ferrand-Prévot, who had led the race since the opening stages, struggled to match Vollering's pace and conceded the race lead.
GC Battle Intensifies
Vollering now leads the general classification ahead of the remaining stages. The victory marks a significant shift in the fight for the yellow jersey.
The race continues with more challenging terrain, promising further excitement as the top contenders battle for overall honours.
