Palmeiras are planning to keep hold of teenager Eduardo Conceicao, despite reported talks with Manchester United. The Brazilian club believe they can demand a higher fee in the future by integrating the player into the first team.
Talks with European Clubs
Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Palmeiras for the 16-year-old, who has not yet made his senior debut. Globo Esporte claim discussions also took place with Manchester City and Barcelona, with prices around €25 million (£21.4m), plus $15 million (£12.9m) in add-ons.
However, talks are said to have cooled during the World Cup, and Palmeiras have changed their stance. The club now plan to keep Conceicao and integrate him into the first-team squad, expecting to demand €50 million (£42.8m) in future transfer windows.
Manchester United's Transfer Activity
United have focused on young talent in recent windows, signing Ayden Heaven from Arsenal in 2025, and completing moves for Tynan Thompson and goalkeeper Kit Margetson this summer. The club is keen to add striking options after confirming Rasmus Hojlund's exit and expecting Joshua Zirkzee to leave.
United have revamped their midfield, spending £85 million on Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa. They are eyeing a possible third midfielder, linked with Aurelien Tchouameni, Alex Scott, and Carlos Baleba. Backup goalkeeper Karl Darlow joined on a free transfer.
