Canada's Sienna MacDonald competed in the women's heptathlon javelin event. Scotland's Allie Routledge took part in the long jump at Scotstoun. Australia's Oliver Hoare tumbled during the men's one-mile heats. India's Samardeep Gill participated in the men's shot-put qualifying.
Aquatics
Malaysian swimmer Arvin Chahal took a breath after the men's 200m freestyle heats, while compatriot Yin Chuen Lim prepared before the same event. Australia's Ella Ramsay and South Africa's Aimee Canny were neck-and-neck in the women's 200m breaststroke heats. Canada's Sophie Angus moved underwater during the same event. Namibia's 4x100m medley relay team celebrated qualifying for the semi-finals.
Weightlifting
New Zealand's Georgia Theron celebrated a successful lift in the women's 77kg snatch. Scotland's Agata Herbert prepared for her lift in the same category.
Boxing and Basketball
India's Sakshi Sakshi went toe-to-toe with Northern Ireland's Caitlin Fryers in the women's 51kg boxing quarter-final. In men's 3x3 basketball, England's Evan Walshe leaped for the basket against New Zealand in the semi-final; England won to set up a gold-medal match with Australia.

Track volunteers watched athletes in the women's 200m heats on an overcast day.
