Ancient State and Luna Beaux Headline Newsboy's Tuesday Selections
Newsboy has unveiled his horseracing tips for Tuesday's five meetings, with a nap selection at Lingfield Park and a strong double bet. The tipster fancies Ancient State to continue his winning form, while Luna Beaux is expected to shine on the same card.
Lingfield Park: Ancient State (4.43, Nap)
Ancient State, a four-year-old gelding, is tipped to follow up his latest victory in the 5f Free Race Replays On Attheraces.com Handicap. He won convincingly over course and distance on his last run of the previous season under trainer Charles Bishop, beating Apple's Angel by one and three-quarter lengths. Now trained by Adam Kirby, he debuted for his new yard with an improved performance at Southwell, easily landing a handicap over the minimum trip. Always prominent, the son of Dandy Man ran on strongly in the final furlong despite hanging left, beating Irish Dancer by two lengths. Newsboy believes he can overcome a 6lb rise in the weights.
Lingfield Park: Luna Beaux (6.20, nb)
Later on the card, the consistent Luna Beaux can score back up in trip in the 6f Free Tips Daily On Attheraces.com Handicap. Trained by Adrian Wintle, the son of Saxon Warrior won by a neck from Telling Time off a 1lb lower mark at Wolverhampton over six furlongs on his penultimate start. However, he was outpaced in a five-furlong handicap at Bath last time, finishing fifth, beaten two and three-quarter lengths by Solar Invincible. Returning to six furlongs against largely exposed rivals, he should take all the beating.
