As the co-host of the BBC's What Not To Wear, Trinny Woodall was known for giving blunt fashion advice to women. However, the tables have turned as she recently received a dressing-down from her friend Davina McCall over her dowdy, largely grey collection of knickers.
From Grey to Glamorous
In an online video, Trinny, 62, who split from art collector Charles Saatchi in 2023, showed Davina her underwear drawer, saying: 'This is my underwear drawer – you can tell I haven't had a relationship for three years.' Davina, 58, known for hosting The Masked Singer, responded: 'You owe it to yourself to wake up every morning and put on the 'boss' underwear.' Following the chat, Trinny posed online in sensual black lingerie.
Captioning the post, Trinny wrote: 'How many of you see your friends in sexy underwear but think, "not for me"...? I'm sure many of you will relate when I say I'd rather be comfortable than feel like I have a cheese grater up my bottom. I have to say that a recent catch-up with @davinamccall has really shifted my perspective.'
A New Perspective on Sensuality
Trinny continued: 'After navigating some life-threatening challenges, Davina has reached a place where she actively prioritises her identity as a sensual woman, and she reminded me that feeling fabulous in one's knickers is a private joy that we can do entirely for ourselves. It made me realise that I don't embrace the softer, feminine side of myself as much as I perhaps ought to… Time to push the boat out a little bit...'
Davina responded to the Instagram post with an impressed: 'That's my girl.'
Ageing Gracefully on Her Own Terms
Trinny recently vowed not to 'disappear' as she ages and admitted she is 'never happy' despite the success of her £200 million beauty empire, Trinny London. Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK, she expressed her disdain for the phrase 'age gracefully', insisting there should be no rules regarding ageing. She emphasised that energy, not age, determines how often women are noticed: 'When women are tired, we disappear. When we're full of energy, people notice us.'
She also shared health concerns, saying: 'I'm very aware that my mum died of Alzheimer's and she also had osteoporosis – I want to be able-bodied, rather than incapacitated, so I'm doing everything I can to stay well.'
10-Minute Workout Routine
Trinny also revealed her 10-minute workout routine in a separate post, showcasing her toned abs. She uses a vibrating plate for lymphatic drainage and bone density, adding calf raises and arm exercises for balance and strength.
