Corrections: Makerfield Byelection and Other Errors
Corrections: Makerfield Byelection and Other Errors

The Guardian has issued corrections for several recent articles, including errors in a byelection report and a profile of a cultural historian.

Makerfield Byelection Error

An article on the Makerfield byelection, published on 20 June, incorrectly stated that Reform UK's vote share rose by 9.61%. In fact, this was Labour's rise, and the correct figure should have been 9.61 percentage points. Reform UK's share actually rose by 2.7 percentage points. The error appeared in the print edition only.

Inger Leemans Profile Correction

A profile of Inger Leemans, published on 16 June in G2, incorrectly identified her affiliation. Leemans is a professor of cultural history at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, not the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, where she is a researcher.
