Liverpool have been encouraged to bring Harry Wilson back to the club on a free transfer, four years after he was sold to Fulham by Jurgen Klopp. The 29-year-old Wales international is set to become a free agent at the end of the month and has been linked with a return to Anfield as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Wilson, who spent 17 years at Liverpool from 2005 to 2022, made only two first-team appearances for the Reds and had multiple loan spells. His final loan move was to Fulham in the 2021-22 season, which was made permanent. He enjoyed an outstanding 2025-26 campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 37 Premier League matches.
Former Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister has urged the club to consider re-signing Wilson. "He's a really interesting one," McAllister said. "He's been coached in the Liverpool way, and he always caught the eye when you were around Anfield. With his passing range, his ability to get a goal, and his work rate, he's becoming a very complete player."
McAllister added: "Without a shadow of a doubt, Harry is a top-end Premier League player now. He has been on the international stage for his country as well, and he's been fantastic there. Liverpool should be one of the clubs interested."
Despite the speculation, there is currently no indication that Liverpool are considering a move for Wilson. The winger has been strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, with Spurs looking to reshape their squad after a poor campaign.
