Prince Harry and Meghan's UK Return: Security Plans Confirmed

Reports are circulating that Prince Harry and Meghan are planning a move back to Britain, six years after they moved to the US. The pair and their two children are anticipated to relocate later this month to a non-royal residence, thought to be outside London.

Home Office Statement on Security

In response to the news, the Home Office stated: "The UK Government's protective security system is rigorous and proportionate."

"It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals' security."

Security Decisions and Ravec

The Home Secretary does not have a hand in security arrangements for members of the royal family or other significant public figures. Security decisions fall under the remit of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec).

Ravec's membership comprises the Home Office, Metropolitan Police and royal household, who collectively advise the independent chair in decision-making. Their advice is guided by expert risk assessments and in accordance with Government policy.
