A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 75-year-old great-grandmother died following a burglary at her home in north London. The woman, named as Rose Smith, died in hospital 24 hours after officers were called to reports of an aggravated burglary in Tollington Park, Finsbury Park, at around 9.20pm on 11 August.
Arrest and Custody
A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and aggravated burglary on Friday and remains in custody. An 81-year-old man was also taken to hospital following an assessment by paramedics, but was discharged the next day.

Rose Smith's devastated family have paid a heartfelt tribute to her, describing her as a “truly wonderful” great-grandmother.
