How to watch Budget 2026 live on TV

Chancellor John Healey will today set out the government's Budget plans, the first since Andy Burnham became Prime Minister in July.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer will deliver the Budget Statement following Prime Minister's Questions at approximately 12.30pm.

Where to watch the Budget live

The Budget will be broadcast live on ParliamentLive.tv. It will also be shown on BBC News, BBC Two and ITV1, as well as Sky News, YouTube and BBC iPlayer.

The Budget statement updates Parliament and the nation on the state of the economy, public finances and progress against the government's economic objectives.

What the Chancellor will cover

Mr Healey aims to move "money and power out of Westminster, and into every postcode around Britain". The Chancellor will discuss a range of topics including tax, rough sleeping and benefits.

For Liverpool and the wider city region, the Chancellor and Mr Burnham have vowed to pump more money and devolved powers into regions like ours. Liverpool has seen an acute homelessness crisis in recent years and will receive a share of further funding that the Chancellor will announce to help with Mr Burnham's pledge to end rough sleeping.
