The US President, 79, addressed the rumours during a press conference on Tuesday, where he announced the relocation of US Space Command HQ from Colorado to Huntsville, Alabama.
The phrase 'Trump is dead' trended on social media on Friday after the President had not been seen in public for several days. However, the rumours were debunked when he was photographed on Saturday at a Virginia golf club with his granddaughter. Trump told reporters he was unaware of the trend, calling it 'sort of crazy'.
The press conference, delayed by 45 minutes, saw Trump's hands attract attention due to visible bruising. One social media user noted his hands appeared 'two different colours'. Trump, however, dismissed health concerns, stating in a Truth Social post: 'NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.'
Trump used the briefing to announce the relocation of Space Command to Huntsville, a move expected to create 30,000 jobs and billions in investment. He criticised Colorado's voting system, saying: 'The problem with Colorado is that they have a very corrupt voting system.' Alabama Governor Kay Ivey had hinted at the decision in a social media post last week.
