Zayn Malik Fans Hurl Water Bottles After Tour Date Merges
Zayn Malik Fans Throw Water Bottles at Him After Q&A Merge

Zayn Malik's eagerly awaited comeback has hit another snag as fans reportedly threw water bottles at him during a Q&A event in Kingston. The former One Direction star, 33, had already disappointed supporters by cutting 22 dates from his solo tour after being hospitalised with a mystery illness.

Q&A Merge Sparks Fan Fury

On Thursday, Zayn appeared at Banquet Records in Kingston for a Q&A session. However, Banquet Records announced on social media that the 4pm and 6pm events would be merged due to a last-minute scheduling conflict. The venue assured fans that capacity would remain safe and offered refunds for those with tickets to both shows.

Fans were not appeased. A clip shared on X showed Zayn dodging a flying water bottle as he left the stage. The caption read: "Zayn was almost hit in the face by a hurled water bottle while leaving his Q&A event."

Fan Reactions

Social media erupted with criticism. One fan fumed: "OMG Zayn is so incredibly unprofessional please never work w/him again!!!" Another complained: "Oh my God, so the 6pm people don't have a chance to be close?" A follower added: "My friend who was waiting for the 6pm event was in front of the line and as the events are merged, she is now at the back because the 4pm people are before her, I know it's not your fault but it's so unfair." An X user mused: "On the day of? When people have probably built their day around the time they had booked?"

Health Scare and Tour Cuts

The incident follows Zayn's recent health scare. He shared a photo from his hospital bed, thanking fans for their support and promising to return "better and stronger than before." He then announced the reduction of shows on his KONNAKOL Tour, citing his recovery. The updated schedule includes performances in London and Manchester next month, followed by gigs in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Peru later this year.

The Mirror has contacted Zayn's representatives for comment.
