The incident occurred during a Health Care Affordability Event at the White House on Thursday, April 24, where Trump hosted the gathering. However, it was his own health that became the focus as he seemed to nod off while others were speaking behind him.
Video Shows Trump Appearing to Doze Off
A video shared on social media shows the US leader on several occasions closing his eyes for a few seconds at a time while his head tilts to the side. One X user who posted the footage wrote: "Trump is fighting total war against wokeness as his eyes close and his mouth droops." Another added: "Trump dozes off at his event on affordability." A third comment read: "Trump takes a quick nap in the Oval Office."
Trump Addresses Iran Conflict
The bizarre moment came as Trump spoke to reporters inside the Oval Office about the ongoing war with Iran. During the conversation, he was asked whether he would consider using a nuclear weapon. Trump responded: "No, I wouldn't. Why would I need it? Why would a stupid question like that be asked? Why would I use a nuclear weapon when we totally, in a very convincing way, decimated them? A nuclear weapon should never be allowed to be used by anybody."
