In the latest twist in Katie Price's life, the television personality has claimed that her husband of four months has vanished and may have been kidnapped. Price, 47, married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews in January, just days after meeting him. Since then, the couple have faced challenges, including Andrews admitting he lied about studying at the University of Cambridge and managing a long-distance relationship. Now, Price has reported Andrews missing after not hearing from him for five days.
The Disappearance
Price first raised the alarm publicly on 16 May in a YouTube video. She stated that while she had posted on Instagram that Andrews was taking a break from social media due to trolling, the reality was that he had been missing for three days. The last contact was on Wednesday night at 10pm, when Andrews was trying to cross the border in Dubai to board a flight to the UK. Price expressed fears that he might have been kidnapped, noting that the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai is searching for him but cannot find any record of his detention.
Details of the Last Contact
Price described a FaceTime call in which Andrews appeared to have ties around his hands and a hood, saying, 'Look, they're coming back for me.' She added that he was in a van with white mesh windows, resembling an old, dirty vehicle. The Independent has contacted Dubai police and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office for comment.
Missed TV Appearance
The couple were scheduled to appear on Good Morning Britain on 12 May, but Andrews did not show. Price initially said he was stuck at the airport, but the programme revealed that the Foreign Office had confirmed supporting a British man detained in the UAE. When host Ed Balls asked if Andrews had been arrested, Price denied it, saying he had sent a voice note with laughing emojis. She later said on her podcast that Andrews had made her look foolish for standing her up, but added that if he came to England, it would end the rumours.
Aftermath and Reactions
Despite Price's plea for help, many fans remain sceptical, with one commenting, 'He's hiding. He knows the game is up.' A source told The Sun that Price is in constant contact with Andrews' family and is desperately worried, mortified by accusations of a stunt. However, Andrews' mother, Trisha Andrews, has criticised Price, accusing her of exploiting the situation after Price continued to promote her OnlyFans account and CBD oil on Instagram. The Independent has contacted Price for comment, but she has not issued an update since her video on Saturday.
