Jeremy Clarkson has provided an update on his health following heart surgery, describing the past year as a 'fraught' period. The 66-year-old former 'Top Gear' host was rushed to hospital in 2024 after experiencing chest pains at his Cotswolds home, where doctors discovered a completely blocked artery requiring a stent.
Recovery and Weight Loss
Appearing on Heart Breakfast, Clarkson told hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden that he now feels 'absolutely fine'. He attributed his weight loss to 'fat jabs', joking that he looks like a painting by L.S. Lowry. 'It was quite a fraught year last year but no, I'm absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo,' he said.
Heart Surgery Featured in New Series
The TV personality's health ordeal will be documented in the upcoming season of 'Clarkson's Farm'. The first four episodes are set to premiere on 3 June, followed by two on 10 June, and the final two on 17 June. Clarkson described it as 'the most dramatic one of the shows we have done so far', adding that the drama intensifies towards the end.
A trailer released earlier this week shows Clarkson in hospital with ECG wires attached, and later speaking to farm hand Kaleb Cooper about his condition: 'You’ve got three arteries that feed your heart to keep it pumping. My heart wasn’t getting any blood.'
Farmers' Protest Appearance
The trailer also captures Clarkson attending a farmers' protest in London in November 2024, where thousands marched against inheritance tax changes. Despite being advised by his doctor and Amazon not to speak, Clarkson delivered a speech to the crowd.
In February, it was reported that 'Clarkson's Farm' has been renewed for a sixth series, with filming already underway.
