I'm A Celebrity South Africa Future 'Revealed' After Dramatic Live Final
I'm A Celebrity South Africa Future Revealed After Final

The future of I'm A Celebrity All Stars has been revealed by a television insider, following the chaotic live final that captivated viewers last week. The South Africa-based show will reportedly not return to screens until 2029, despite the finale achieving massive viewing figures.

Show's Return Delayed

The all-stars edition, pre-filmed in 2025, culminated in an explosive live final in London last Friday night. The episode saw Adam Thomas emerge victorious, but not without heated clashes with Jimmy Bullard and David Haye. The turmoil began when David interrupted Adam's interview before the winner was announced, escalating further when Jimmy Bullard intervened to criticise what he termed Adam's 'intimidating' behaviour in camp.

Viewing Figures and Future Plans

Approximately 2.8 million viewers tuned in for the dramatic finale. Despite this significant interest, show makers have decided not to bring back the all-stars version for several years. An insider told The Sun: 'The aim was never for it to be made or be on air in 2027, even though there may be an appetite for that right now. The aim was to deliver something as a special show that was on from time to time, not an annual revisit like the main I'm A Celebrity show.'

This was the second all-stars series, with the first airing in May 2023 after being recorded in autumn 2022. Myleene Klass, runner-up of series 6, was crowned winner of that season, defeating series 16 campmate Jordan Banjo in the final survival trial. With a three-year gap between the first and second seasons, fans may have to wait a while for the next instalment if ITV continues this pattern.

Voting Results and Controversies

Voting figures released earlier today revealed that Adam won by a landslide, securing 51% of the final four vote. Sir Mo Farah followed with 32%, while Harry Redknapp and Craig Charles each garnered 9%. Adam's victory came amid a series of dramatic moments. Things first took a turn when David Haye accused Adam of weakness after he ruled himself out of a trial, calling him 'weak' and later claiming the Waterloo Road star was using his arthritis to avoid Bushtucker Trials.

Adam was also embroiled in a row with Jimmy Bullard after Jimmy quit a mid-trial, potentially jeopardising Adam's participation as they were paired. Adam swore at Jimmy, and though he later apologised, Jimmy insisted Adam was 'aggressive' and 'intimidating', criticising ITV for not showing the full clip. ITV stated their broadcast was a 'fair and accurate' representation.

The Mirror has approached ITV for comment. I'm A Celebrity is expected to return later this year with its usual format.
