Good Morning Britain Apologises After C-Word Aired Live

Good Morning Britain has issued an apology after an expletive was accidentally broadcast live on air. The incident occurred during an interview with singer and actress Delta Goodrem on Tuesday morning (June 2).

Hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls were speaking to Goodrem about her recent performance at Eurovision, where she represented Australia and came fourth. As footage from her appearance at the Mighty Hoopla festival was shown, a fan in the audience displaying the c-word was visible on screen.

Viewers quickly took to social media to express their surprise. One wrote on X: 'Oops, should have looked at that footage before airing it.' Another commented: 'C-bomb bit strong for a Tuesday morning.'

A spokesperson for Good Morning Britain told the Mirror: 'We'd like to apologise to any viewers offended by the accidental appearance of the expletive which was featured in concert footage. As soon as the error was discovered it was corrected and didn't appear in the +1 and ITVX versions.'

The clip has since been edited out of the interview on streaming service ITVX. During the interview, Goodrem also addressed rumours about her potential participation in Strictly Come Dancing, saying she is 'always open' to new opportunities.
