Nigel Farage has confirmed he will meet with the family of murdered student Henry Nowak, following widespread criticism over his response to violent protests that erupted after the incident.
Meeting agreed with family
The Reform UK leader told GB News: "We are going to meet. I don't know when, but we have agreed to meet." The announcement comes after the family of Henry Nowak left Downing Street following a meeting with the Prime Minister on Thursday.
Farage condemns violence
Mr Farage, who has faced scrutiny for his handling of the case, emphasised his condemnation of all forms of violence. "Of course I condemn all violence. I always have… I’ve never, in 35 years of being in politics, advocated people going outside the law," he said.
When questioned about why he did not immediately denounce the clashes on Tuesday that left nearly a dozen police officers injured, Mr Farage explained: "When I did that big video that got all those millions of views, I was quite careful not to blame the police officers themselves too much."
The protests, which turned violent, have sparked a national debate about public order and political accountability. Farage's meeting with the Nowak family is seen as an attempt to address the growing tensions surrounding the case.
