Former Packers Star Eddie Lacy Shows Stunning Weight Loss Transformation
Eddie Lacy's Remarkable Weight Loss Journey Revealed

After gaining notoriety across the league for his weight and eating habits, former Green Bay Packers star Eddie Lacy has shared his remarkable body transformation on social media. The former NFL running back faced scrutiny in both college and the pros for his weight.

A Storied College Career

Despite starring at Alabama and winning three BCS national championships with the Crimson Tide, Lacy was only selected 61st overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. When he made it to the league, he was mocked for overeating during his five-year NFL career.

Taking Control

Now 35 years old, the former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year appears to have gained control over his problem, as evidenced by a recent social media post. In the post, Lacy was seen drinking a cleansing juice while explaining the efforts he has undergone to cut back.

'A while back I did a 4-day fast. I wasn't even sure I could do it—but I did, and I felt amazing,' Lacy wrote. 'I didn't want to lose that momentum, so recently I started a simple protocol to keep things going… and it's already been a game changer.'

He added, 'Snacking and overeating have always been a struggle for me, and I know I'm not the only one. Even in just a couple of weeks, my cravings feel way more under control, and it's been so much easier not to overeat.'

Accountability and Helping Others

Lacy concluded, 'I still have a long way to go, but I want to start sharing more of the journey and what I'm learning—partly to keep myself accountable, and hopefully to help others too… because let's be real, a lot of people are struggling with their health right now.'

Weight Struggles in the NFL

While Lacy's current weight is not clear, his reputation in the NFL was such that teams included weight clauses in his contract in an attempt to keep him under 280 pounds. At one point in his career, he was fined for being overweight.

Lacy admitted his weight dropped after he 'stopped drinking so much' in Green Bay. But when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks, circumstances changed. When he arrived at training camp with Seattle in 2017, he weighed 267 pounds—30 pounds more than the previous year.

After that single season in Seattle, Lacy was off the team and out of the league. A brief hope of a comeback came in the form of a 2019 tryout with the Baltimore Ravens, but he was not signed.

Legal Troubles

Lacy was last in headlines in 2024, when he was arrested in Arizona on suspected 'extreme DUI' and possession of an open container inside his vehicle. The former star was accused of having a blood alcohol content of .325.
