Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are unlikely to ever return to the United States, according to a royal biographer, amid ongoing fallout from their association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew Lownie told NewsNation that neither Andrew nor his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson would travel to the US again, fearing arrest or being forced to testify before Congress about their friendship with Epstein. “Andrew will not respond or testify in front of Congress. He, or his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, will never travel to the United States again,” Lownie said.
The biographer claimed that both were “much friendlier with Epstein than people imagine” and that further leaks would show their friendship began earlier and lasted longer than previously thought.
The revelations come after the release of Epstein files, which included emails showing Andrew contacted Epstein after his 2019 Newsnight interview, despite claiming to have cut ties. Ferguson described Epstein as a “supreme friend” in a message, though she later expressed regret.
Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing. However, he has faced increasing pressure from US authorities to cooperate with investigations into Epstein’s sex trafficking network. In the UK, King Charles stripped Andrew of his remaining royal titles and military honours, though he retains the Freedom of the City of London, which officials are seeking to revoke.
