Trump humiliated as baby name Donald hits all-time low

US President Donald Trump faced a fresh humiliation on live television when a segment revealed that the baby name Donald has plummeted to its lowest popularity in American history. The 80-year-old president's approval rating has also hit an all-time low of 34% ahead of the midterm elections, according to a Reuters poll cited by MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell.

Baby Name Donald Hits Record Low

During the June 24, 2026 episode of The Last Word on MSNBC, O'Donnell reported that Social Security Administration data reviewed by NOTUS showed fewer than 400 newborns were named Donald last year, making it the 690th most popular baby name. This marks a dramatic fall from its peak in 1934, when over 30,400 babies received the name, and it remained in the top 100 through 1990.

O'Donnell remarked: "Less than 400 babies out of 3.6 million babies born last year will have to live with the name Donald, which they might want to change after taking elementary school history classes." He added that more babies were named Lawrence or Princeton than Donald, and compared the decline to the name Adolf after Adolf Hitler's atrocities.

Public Concern Over Trump's Behavior

Hours earlier, Trump sparked health fears during a press conference in Pennsylvania. Fox News aired footage of Trump mocking a transgender athlete by moaning repeatedly and waving his fists, with his eyes closed. Viewers on X/Twitter expressed alarm, with one writing: "Again with this sh**. Why isn't he impeached already?" Another said: "I had to see if this clip was real, WTF impeach him now, he has completely lost it."
