The US House of Representatives oversight committee has released more than 33,000 pages of records related to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The documents, obtained from the Department of Justice, include court filings, bodycam footage, and police interviews.
The release comes amid ongoing controversy over the Trump administration's refusal to disclose additional files. Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, having allegedly abused hundreds of girls.
However, the newly released files appear to contain information already in the public domain. Calls continue for the full disclosure of all pertinent documents related to the case.
