The second semi-final of Eurovision 2026 takes place tonight, with 10 more countries vying for a spot in the grand final of the 70th edition of the Song Contest. Hosted by Austria after last year's victory by JJ, the event is being held at the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna.
Thirty-five countries initially entered the competition, but Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain opted out in protest against Israel's inclusion. Across both semi-finals, 10 acts will be eliminated, leaving 25 competitors for the grand final. Finland, represented by Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen, are the current favourites to win.
The pre-qualified Big Four countries—the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy—along with host nation Austria, have guaranteed places in the final. The UK act LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will perform his song 'Eins, Zwei, Drei' in the second semi-final before competing in the final. He told the BBC: 'It has been a lot of work, especially as I have just become a new dad at the same time as prepping for Eurovision! But overall, it’s been a lot of fun.'
The second semi-final airs on BBC One at 8pm on Thursday, May 14, and is also available on BBC iPlayer. Viewers in the UK can vote for their favourites during the show.
