Judy Finnigan has questioned how much longer Zack Polanski can continue as Green Party leader after he struggled to explain the party's decision to label Zionism as racism on Sunday's episode of Laura Kuenssberg's show.
Definition of Zionism
Finnigan, writing in her opinion column, said Polanski was "green about the gills" as he stuttered to explain the party's "disgraceful and absurdly simplistic" decision. She argued that the definition of Zionism is simply the right to self-determination and independent statehood, asking: "In what warped world is that racist?"
Polanski also suggested that Israel has no automatic right to exist, a remark Finnigan compared unfavourably to his position as leader, saying "much the same could be said about his role as leader."
Strictly Come Dancing Praise
In the same column, Finnigan praised Cach Mercer's Sinatra-inspired foxtrot on Strictly Come Dancing, describing it as "extraordinary." She said he glided around the floor with the grace and ease of Fred Astaire and Danny Kaye combined.
She also gave credit to Mercer's partner, Maddie Ingoldsby, who at just 21 is one of the youngest professionals ever to dance on the show. Ingoldsby has been ballroom dancing since she was four. Finnigan predicted glitterball glory for the pair in the final.
