Tammy Hembrow may be on the verge of closing her supplements company, Selfish Supps, as multiple signs indicate the brand is struggling. The 32-year-old fitness influencer already shut down her activewear business, Saski Collection, in December, and now it appears Selfish Supps could soon follow suit.
Social Media Silence and Low Engagement
Tammy launched the women's sports nutrition brand in April 2025 alongside her sisters Emilee and Amy. However, a review of the brand's Instagram account reveals no posts have been made since April 11. Prior to that, the Hembrow sisters had been consistently posting weekly content, with the last upload featuring a core workout by Tammy. Despite boasting 16,700 followers, engagement has been minimal, with recent uploads garnering only a handful of comments. The final video posted by Tammy attracted just three comments, one of which was critical: 'Promoting a health product does not align with your current lifestyle. People won't buy it because of that.'
Website and Bio Changes
The Selfish Supps website remains operational, allowing customers to make purchases, but the Insights section has not been updated since January. Articles offering nutritional tips were once shared regularly since the brand's inception, but the last upload occurred on January 30. Tammy also hinted at internal troubles by briefly removing the brand name from her Instagram bio, though she later re-added it without explanation. Her sister Emilee has also removed the company from her bio, while Amy continues to promote it.
Discounts at Chemist Warehouse
Perhaps the most telling sign of trouble is that Selfish products are frequently on sale at Chemist Warehouse, where the brand is 'exclusively sold' alongside Boots UK. Products are often marked down to half price, a tactic commonly used for slow-moving items to clear inventory for new merchandise. This heavy discounting suggests the brand may be struggling to maintain sales.
Previous Business Closure
This follows the closure of Tammy's activewear brand, Saski Collection, in December. The company was issued a property repossession notice for unpaid rent of $27,618.47 at its Gold Coast headquarters. Although Tammy's representatives denied any outstanding rent, stating the matter was in dispute, the lease was terminated on December 1. Tammy announced the closure on Instagram, hinting at a new business venture: 'Sometimes a chapter needs to close in order to make space for new growth.'
