Friday's episode of Loose Women witnessed a tense exchange between Kaye Adams and Gloria Hunniford as they locked horns during a fiery political debate. At one point, Gloria said tersely: "Kaye, just give me one second for goodness sake to speak!"
Heated Exchange on Loose Women Panel
The duo were accompanied by Judi Love and Jane Moore as the panel discussed the political turmoil at the top of government. Gloria, 86, said: "The average public are fed up," as Kaye attempted to interrupt. Gloria told her: "Just let me finish my bit," before continuing. However, Kaye, 63, again spoke over her co-host.
She said: "The thing is Gloria, you have an election, you vote in a government. We voted in the Labour government, if the people decide they don't want a Labour government, then they vote them out."
Gloria interjected: "What you're missing is the mood of the people," as Kaye shot back: "You can't talk about the mood of the people Gloria," asking: "Did you vote for the Labour party this time?" to which Gloria sternly responded: "I'm not telling you who I voted for."
As Kaye started to speak again, Gloria put her hand up in the air and remarked: "Kaye, just give me one second for goodness sake to speak!"
Clearly feeling awkward during the heated moment, Judi joked: "This feels like Parliament to me." As the debate continued, Gloria shot back: "You can talk all your politics," as Kaye pulled a face and awkwardly laughed.
Viewer Reactions on Social Media
Fans took to X to share their thoughts on the heated moment as one wrote: "First the Labour Party were turning on each other, and now the Loose Women are turning on each other. Whatever next." Another ITV viewer claimed: "Kaye Adams really does not like Gloria Hunniford." Somebody else penned: "I agree with Gloria. The other two need to shut up." Yet another commented: "Good on you Gloria – refuse to answer the question 'did you vote for Labour?' I was always told not to disclose who we vote for!"
Show Denies Backstage Feuds
Loose Women was recently forced to deny rife in-fighting and backstage arguing on the show, after reports. When contacted by The Mirror, a rep for the show denied any such issues between the panel. An ITV spokesperson said: "All of our Loose Women are hugely valued, with seven generations across the panel, the experiences and opinions they bring to the show are celebrated daily as the ladies continue to lead the conversation on the topics that matter most to viewers."
