90 Day Fiancé Star's Domestic Battery Charge Dropped

Thais Ramone, a star of the reality television series 90 Day Fiancé, will not face any further legal repercussions following her arrest on Friday in connection with a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery, which has now been dropped.

Arrest and Charge Details

The 29-year-old was taken into custody on May 22 in Las Vegas on the misdemeanor charge, amid reports that her spouse, Patrick Mendes, 36, had filed for divorce, according to legal records reviewed by the Daily Mail. The estranged couple share a three-year-old daughter named Aleesi.

Statement from Representative

A representative for Ramone, who has been married to Mendes for four years, told TMZ in a statement that the reality star was 'choosing to move forward with grace and focus on her family during an incredibly emotional and personal time.' Addressing the arrest, the representative said that 'while there was a misdemeanor allegation made, the charge was ultimately dropped by the District Attorney, which speaks for itself.' The statement continued: 'Situations involving relationships and family dynamics are rarely black and white, and she has no interest in escalating negativity publicly.'

Characterization of Ramone

In the statement, Ramone was described as 'a devoted mother, deeply family-oriented, and someone who has always led with heart.' She is focused on 'protecting her peace, raising her daughter, and handling everything with maturity and respect,' her rep said. The reality star 'appreciates the opportunity to clarify the facts and hopes people allow space for healing rather than speculation.'

Social Media Activity

Ramone indirectly addressed her personal life in an Instagram post to her main account on Monday, as she posed in front of a hotel. She wrote: 'Lately. Thank you guys for so so so much love and support! Love you all!' In a post to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, she said she loves 'working out' as she posed in a gym wearing a red activewear ensemble.

Divorce Filing Details

Mendes asked the court for sole legal and physical custody of their daughter in legal documents reviewed by TMZ, noting that he did not want spousal or child support from Ramone. He told the court in his divorce filing that he and Ramone had lived apart since May 6, and he had been caring for their daughter during that time. In the filing, Mendes said he made about $10,000 monthly, twice the income of the estimated $5,000 a month Ramone was earning. He requested to retain a vehicle, bedding, and a Fidelity 401K in the split.

Television Career

Ramone and Mendes began appearing on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé in 2022 during the show's ninth season. The storyline centered on Ramone moving from her native Brazil to the U.S. amid her romance with Mendes. The duo were subsequently seen on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After's eighth season. They are slated to be featured on 90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort, which will chronicle time they spent in couple counseling.
