Gabriel Jesus Addresses Arsenal Exit Rumours

Gabriel Jesus has spoken out about his future at Arsenal, admitting uncertainty but expressing a desire to stay and prove himself. The Brazilian striker, who has one year left on his contract, scored in Sunday's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace and was handed the captain's armband by Mikel Arteta.

Jesus, 29, has struggled with injuries this season, missing almost the entire first half of the campaign with a torn ACL. He has started just 11 times across all competitions, and the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres last summer has pushed him further down the pecking order. Despite this, Jesus remains optimistic: 'The future belongs to God. I still have one year left on my Arsenal contract. I want to play and prove to myself that I can still play at a high level.'

Meanwhile, Martin Zubimendi has declared himself ready to reclaim his place in the starting XI for Saturday's Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Euro 2024 winner has been restricted to the bench in recent weeks, with Myles Lewis-Skelly emerging as a rival in midfield. Zubimendi told Marca: 'I always see myself playing, but what actually happens is another matter. Lately, I haven't been getting much playing time, but I'm ready to go out and play.'

Arsenal face PSG in Budapest as they seek their first-ever Champions League title, having already secured the Premier League crown for the first time in 22 years. Arteta will have key decisions to make on his starting lineup, with Declan Rice virtually guaranteed a place in midfield.
