Father Denies Racism In Chessington Queue Row

A father has been accused of racism after confronting alleged queue jumpers at Chessington World of Adventures in south-west London. The incident occurred at the newly opened World of Paw Patrol attraction, specifically on Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure.

Luke Tickner, from Whitely, Hampshire, stopped a family who claimed they had returned from the toilet to their original place in the line. Tickner accused them of queue jumping and was filmed saying, 'You're the one who's now pulling the race card.' He later denied racism, stating the family had never been in the queue and had only the mother waiting.

Tickner told the Daily Mail, 'They never even went to the loo. The mum queued whilst they have been on other rides and they decided they wanted to push through.' He added that staff offered to review CCTV footage, but the family left before it could be checked.

The theme park's website defines queue jumping as 'trying to gain access to a ride... through non authorised means,' including leaving the queue and re-entering, or saving a place for someone not in the queue. Ride attendants advised that guests leaving the queue should inform staff.

The World of Paw Patrol, which opened this weekend, cost around £15 million and spans 1.4 acres, featuring four new rides and themed play areas. Celebrities at the preview included rugby star Joe Marler and TV presenter Alex Jones.
